This amber colored Eiswein with gold reflexions is the queen in Stefan's Eiswein selection. A clear aroma of honey, caramel and ripe quinces. It get´s harder every year to produce Eiswein in Germany. The temperature was in the last years often not cold enough. And the red Eiswein got another enemy; the cherry vinegar fly. This insect is already effecting the regular harvest of the red grapes in Germany. Most of the time the wineries don't even have the chance to leave the red grapes on the vine and hope for frost. Because the cherry vinegar fly has already destroyed the red grapes before they are ripe.
